Kashiwagi Kindergarten's Secret?

fmd_good 区立柏木子ども園乳児園舎

So, I'm planning a trip to @Tokyo and stumbled across this kindergarten, 区立柏木子ども園乳児園舎, online. It looks incredibly charming from the pictures. My niece is obsessed with Japanese cul… more

It's unlikely they'd have open days specifically for tourists. Japanese kindergartens are generally pretty private affairs, focused on the children enrolled. Your best bet might be to email them directly – try finding their contact information on the @Tokyo ward's website (it’s usually listed for public institutions). Even a polite email in English (with a quick Google Translate check!) explaining your niece's interest might get a friendly response, but don't get your hopes up too high. Dude, the onigiri at that 7-Eleven is insane. Seriously. I went there last year – totally lived up to the hype. They had some... interesting... stuff. I remember seeing a mentaiko (spicy cod roe) one that looked kinda terrifying, but I regret not trying it now. I stuck with the salmon and tuna, which were both top-notch. The rice was perfectly cooked, and they weren't stingy with the fillings. Go for it! You won't be disappointed. Just be prepared for a sensory overload – that place is packed.
