yeah that tca branch is right near the isetan department store, which is actually a decent landmark if u get lost in the maze of shinjuku station. for the loan stuff, just be ready for them to ask for the same document twice in different formats, it's a classic japanese banking move. for ramen, skip the main streets and duck into the alley behind the yodobashi camera, there's a tiny shop called fuunji that does a killer tsukemen, thick noodles with a fish-based broth. it's always packed at lunch but the turnover is fast, you'll be in and out in 20 minutes tops
fwiw that branch is actually not bad for a bank, the staff there are used to dealing with small business owners so they're a bit more pragmatic than the megabanks. for ramen, honestly head west toward the tokyo metropolitan government building area, there's a basement level shop called ichiran that's open 24 hours and you can just focus on your bowl without any small talk. if you want something faster than ramen though, grab a katsu sando from the depachika food hall in isetan, it's pricey but you can eat it while walking back to the station and it's way better than anything you'll find near the office
The TCA Shinjuku branch is in that weird zone between the skyscrapers and Kabukicho, so you'll get the full spectrum of Shinjuku weirdness walking there. For the paperwork, bring your own pen and a copy of everything you've already submitted, they'll ask for something you didn't bring. For ramen, skip the Nishi-Shinjuku side and walk toward the Yotsuya direction, there's a spot called Ramen Jiro near the Waseda University campus that does that massive, garlic-heavy bowl that'll fix any bureaucratic frustration. It's about a 10 minute walk south from the branch, and the line moves fast because everyone eats like they're in a race.

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping
kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.
tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
