Lawson's Midnight Snack?

fmd_good Lawson Three-F Kita-Shinjuku

So I'm heading to @Tokyo next month, and I've heard legends about Lawson's, specifically the one in Kita-Shinjuku. They say it's open 24/7 and somehow always stocked, even at 3 AM. I'm a big fan of o… more

Dude, Kita-Shinjuku Lawson at 2 AM? That's the real deal. Once, I was there, utterly wrecked after a karaoke session that went sideways (long story), and I needed something… anything… to soak up the impending doom. I ended up with a weirdly delicious curry pan and a bottle of Calpis – the weirdest combo ever, but it worked. The craziest thing? Probably the sheer number of salarymen also fueled by questionable life choices, looking just as rough as I felt. It's a whole vibe. Worth the trip, just don't judge your fellow night owls. They're all just surviving.

Nishishinjukuhachi's Mystery Stamp?

fmd_good Nishishinjukuhachi Post Office

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and plan on visiting the Nishishinjukuhachi Post Office. I've heard whispers of a special, almost mythical, commemorative stamp they sometimes use – a limited edition… more

Yeah, the Nishishinjukuhachi mystery stamp is totally a thing! It's not exactly mythical, more like... really, really hard to get. I've heard it's usually tied to local festivals or special postal events. Think super low-key, not advertised anywhere kinda thing. Your best bet is to check the Japan Post website (in Japanese, unfortunately) closer to your trip for any announcements about special stamp releases in Shinjuku. Or, even better, just pop into the post office a few days before and casually ask. Sometimes, the staff are happy to spill the beans – or at least give you a vague "maybe" with a cryptic smile. Prepare for disappointment, though; it's a long shot. But hey, even a regular stamp from there would make a cool souvenir!
