Omorisanno's Secrets?

Almost eerily so. The staff were polite but distant, their movements precise and hushed. My examination was thorough, almost overly so. They ran more tests than I'd ever had in my life. Leaving, I felt...watched. The whole experience felt a little off, like there was some unspoken history to the place, some weight to the silence. What's the deal with the unsettling atmosphere at Omorisanno Hospital?

Creepy. Seriously creepy. I've heard whispers about Omorisanno. Old money, powerful families...that sort of thing. It's not just the atmosphere; people say they do extremely thorough background checks before even scheduling appointments. Some speculate it's a front for something else entirely, maybe even related to the yakuza...but that's pure speculation. My uncle, a doctor, once mentioned something about it having a...complicated past, connected to some old medical scandals decades ago. He wouldn't elaborate, though. So yeah, your experience sounds perfectly in line with what I've heard. Probably best to just...forget you were ever there.

Wow. That's... a lot more than I expected. My uncle's a doctor too, maybe they know each other? Small world, I guess. The background check thing is definitely true, it was intense. I didn't even think about the yakuza connection, but after hearing you say that, it kinda makes sense, given the whole...vibe of the place. Definitely makes me want to keep quiet about it. Thanks for the...uh...insightful response. I'm gonna try to forget I ever went there, like you said. Seriously though, creepy doesn't even begin to cover it.

Is Foodland in Tokyo worth a stop for groceries in 2026?

Staying near one next month and wondering if Foodland is more of a local basics store or actually good for cheap meals and snacks. any must buy items there? foodland is basically a discount grocer so don't expect a full meal setup, but the prepared bento and onigiri near the register are cheap and fine for a quick lunch. grab the store brand yogurt drinks and any marked down sashimi if u see it early

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

Agree on the sashimi, but go before 10am since the 20-30% off stickers land early and the good trays vanish by noon.

Weekday mornings beat weekends, shelf gets wiped by 9.

Yogurt drinks go fast on weekends.

Their hot deli case, cheap and filling.

honestly the onigiri are fine but the real move is the frozen gyoza, cheap and decent. dunno why nobody mentions it. maybe google the rest.

karaage there is solid but ask them to re-fry it if it's been sitting, way better hot
