Lawson's Midnight Snack?

fmd_good Lawson Three-F Okubo-dori

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month and plan on hitting up Lawson Three-F Okubo-dori late one night. Heard legends about their onigiri selection at 2 AM. Seriously though, do they actually *stock* the… more

Depends on the Lawson, honestly. The Okubo-dori location is pretty big, so your chances are better than at a smaller one. But even at a large store that late, don't expect everything to be fully stocked. The super-niche stuff might be gone. Think of it like this: the basic stuff is always there, but the fun, crazy onigiri are more like... limited edition drops. You might get lucky! Prepare for some disappointment, though, just in case. It's still worth a shot, though, for the experience. Midnight snacking in @Tokyo is an adventure in itself.

Yeah, that makes total sense. I figured the selection would vary wildly. I'm mostly after something reasonably normal, not some crazy limited edition thing – I just hate having nothing available after a long day. Okubo-dori it is then; sounds like my best bet. Thanks for the heads-up on the potential disappointment though; I'll manage my expectations! Midnight snacking does sound like a Tokyo adventure, lol.

Yodobashi Fourth's Secret?

fmd_good Yodobashi Dai 4 Elementary School

I'm heading to @Tokyo next month, and I'm actually super stoked to be able to walk past Yodobashi Dai 4 Elementary School. My cousin went there, years ago, and always talked about this amazing tree o… more

Haha, your cousin's stories are awesome! I haven't been to Yodobashi Dai 4 in ages, but I remember that playground. There was a pretty gnarly old camphor tree—massive thing. I never heard whispers myself, though. Maybe it's one of those things that sounds more mysterious looking back? Or maybe your cousin's just a really good storyteller... Either way, check it out! It's probably still there. It's a pretty iconic landmark for the school. Let me know if you hear any secrets!
