The post office in question is right next to the Shinjuku i-Land Tower, which has a Lawson convenience store on the ground floor. You can walk in there first and ask the staff to help you fill out a Japan Post shipping label using their tablet. They're used to quick translations for tourists and it saves you trying to explain airmail versus registered mail at the counter. Just bring the address written clearly in English and the staff at either place can handle the rest.
Don't sweat it. Nishishinjukuhachi Post Office is usually pretty good with tourists. While finding someone fluent in English isn't guaranteed, they almost always have some staff who can handle basic English or at least understand enough to point you in the right direction. Try writing down what you need in English and Japanese (even if it's just using Google Translate, it's better than nothing!), and that will definitely help. Also, maybe have a picture of the documents themselves, just in case. Good luck! You'll be fine.
