Found myself stumbling into this Lawson Three-F Okubo-dori, seriously, it's a Tardis of convenience stores! Three floors of everything you could possibly need or want, plus some stuff you didn't even know existed. I spent way too long browsing, almost missed my train! My question is: Do they have a secret loyalty program or something? Because I swear, the selection was unbelievably vast...I felt like I uncovered some underground ramen shop or something. It was insane.

lawson three-f is just a normal lawson, the three floors thing is real but its not some secret spot lol. the loyalty thing ur thinking of is ponta card, works across lawson & most other conbinis, u just scan it at the register. honestly the okubo one is convenient but the 7-eleven near shin-okubo station has better hot food at 2am, i'd hit that instead if ur in the area

Convenience store floors are stacked by category, not by secret stock, so you were basically just climbing a very tall shelf. The Okubo-dori one does have a decent upstairs seating area if I remember right.

tbh three floors just means more stuff to ignore at 2am, the onigiri is the same everywhere

Whitebox in Tokyo 2026: Is It Still Worth It?

I used to go there for exhibitions all the time but I heard it's changed, and I'm wondering if the neighborhood is still worth living in or if it's all just turned into offices now.

yeah the old Whitebox spot got gutted around then, last I walked past it was a startup office on the upper floors. kuramae's decent but honestly Kiyosumi-Shirakawa side is quieter and the rents are still half of Shibuya. miyamasuzaka is basically all towers now.

kuramae's rents crept up too since the tawaman went in, kiyosumi side is still the better bet

whitebox actually closed back in 2018, the space is a gallery-slash-coworking thing now. shibuya's still fine to live in but the rents near miyamasuzaka have jumped hard, more office towers than studios these days. if you want that old creative vibe try kuramae or kiyosumi instead
