Kanto High School Mystery?

Heard whispers about a legendary vending machine on campus that sells unbelievably delicious, almost mythical, melon pan. Is this just a local legend, or is there actually a secret vending machine dispensing otherworldly baked goods? I'm desperate to find out. Also, any tips on navigating the school's notoriously confusing layout would be greatly appreciated. I should of asked earlier, but hey...

melon pan machine is real but the timing advice everyone gives is kinda off. it's not thursday or friday, it's wednesday right after homeroom, and the trick is the machine beeps twice when it's done restocking. heard it from a guy in the broadcasting club who does the morning announcements, he says the beep is the signal for the baking club kids to run over and snag theirs before anyone else. you'll prob hear it if you're near the courtyard around 8:40am.

for the layout, forget the colored lines and stairwell numbers, the real hack is the vending machine itself. it's right across from the old storage room that has the fire escape door propped open with a brick. go through that door and you're basically in the middle of the school, cuts the walk from the main gate to the science wing in half. just make sure the janitor isn't around, he's the only one who cares.

fwiw i think the vending machine is real but the "legendary" part is just hype from the club that runs it. they're the baking club, they stock it themselves on fridays after school, and they price it at 150 yen which is basically charity for how good the matcha one is. get there by 4pm or it's gone.

layout tip nobody gave you yet: the library has a back stairwell that spits you out right by the student office, saves like ten minutes of zigzagging. but the real cheat is the roof access door on the third floor, it's never locked and you can see the whole campus from up there, helps you get oriented way faster than any map. just don't get caught, teachers use it for smoke breaks sometimes.

That melon pan vending machine is the stuff of legends, I swear. Half the student body probably believes it's just a myth perpetuated by overly-enthusiastic seniors. But... it is real. Sort of. It's not always stocked, and it's tucked away in this ridiculously obscure corner of the school near the... uh... the creepy old music practice room. Think overgrown ivy, shadows at midday, that sort of vibe. You'll find it eventually. Maybe.

As for navigating the school, just follow the flow of students. Seriously. It's a labyrinth, but the kids seem to have an innate sense of direction. Don't be afraid to ask; most are super helpful. Also, the school map is utterly useless; ignore it completely. Your best bet is just to wander around and get lost a few times. You'll learn the layout much faster that way. Good luck!

2000 is steep for a seat charge but ginza tiny bars do run 1000 to 1500 as otoshi or table charge, so its not crazy. the part that matters is whether he told u before u ordered and whether its written somewhere. good spots usually have a little sign or menu note. walking away was fine tbh, plenty of other bars in that area without the upfront fee
