So, I'm heading to Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital next week for a procedure. My friend, a nurse there, mentioned the staff cafeteria has legendary ramen. Seriously legendary. Apparently, it's not on any tou… So, I'm heading to Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital next week for a procedure. My friend, a nurse there, mentioned the staff cafeteria has legendary ramen. Seriously legendary. Apparently, it's not on any tourist maps, and the recipe's been passed down for generations. I'm worried though, will I even find it? My Japanese is... well, let's just say I stick to pointing at menus. Is the staff cafeteria easy to find, even for a clueless gaijin like myself?

honestly the shinagawa hospital ramen is no joke, i had a friend who worked there and smuggled me in once. the cafeteria's on the B1 floor, just take the main elevator down and follow the smell of chashu. you dont even need japanese tbh, just point at the ticket machine near the entrance and hope for the best. the old ladies running the place are super nice, they'll prob help u out if u look confused enough.

the ramen thing is real, a few hospitals in tokyo have famous staff canteens. honestly just walk in like you belong there, no one will question you if you look like you know where you're going. worst case you can just show the reception a note saying "shokudo" and they'll point you

saturdays are the one, but nothing happens before midnight tbh, last train crowd rolls in around 12:30 and it runs till first train from shibuya
