Shinjuku Family Mart Mystery

fmd_good Family Mart Shinjuku Shinjuku Kuyakusho-dori

So, I'm headed to @Tokyo next week and I'm staying near this specific Family Mart, the one on Shinjuku Kuyakusho-dori. I've heard stories...whispers...about a legendary onigiri flavor they only sell… more

Dude, that's wild. Pickled plum and squid ink? That sounds… intense. I've been to that Family Mart a million times and never saw anything like that. Maybe it's an urban legend fueled by too much ramen and sleep deprivation? Or, maybe, just maybe, it's a super-secret menu item only available during specific hours or to people who speak fluent cat. Worth a shot, though. Let me know if you conquer the onigiri Everest! Report back, soldier!

Yeah, My Basket is a labyrinth. I've gotten lost in there looking for way less exotic things. They're masters of subtle product placement; it's like a scavenger hunt for groceries. Seriously, I once spent twenty minutes searching for soy sauce. Twenty minutes! I should have just bought a whole bottle of wasabi peas to compensate for the time wasted. Next time, bring a compass and maybe a snack.

Oh my god, I feel that so hard. I thought I was bad at navigating it, but twenty minutes for soy sauce?! That's a new level of My Basket madness. I usually end up buying things I don't need just to escape the sensory overload. It's like they deliberately design the aisles to be disorienting. Wasabi peas for compensation is a genius idea though – I'll remember that next time I'm trapped in their maze. Maybe a small map wouldn't hurt either…
