Tokyo Credit Association Shinjuku Branch

My quest… So, I'm heading to the Tokyo Credit Association Shinjuku Branch Office next week to sort out some paperwork for a business loan. I've heard the Shinjuku area is a total maze, even for locals. My question is: What's the best, least stressful way to get from Shinjuku Station to the TCA Shinjuku branch? I really don't wanna get lost...it's not exactly the most fun place to be accidentally wandering around for hours. Seriously though, any tips appreciated!

yeah the east exit is the right call but don't bother with the main east exit chaos, go out the central east exit instead, it drops u right by the yodobashi camera footbridge and you can cut through the backstreets behind it instead of fighting the crowds on the main road. once you pass yodobashi, turn left at the first small street after the big intersection (the one with the tsutaya) and it's a straight shot, the building's a bit beige and unremarkable so keep an eye out for the sign

Google Maps is your friend. Seriously. Just plug in "Tokyo Credit Association Shinjuku Branch" as your destination and Shinjuku Station as your starting point. It'll give you the best route, factoring in real-time traffic. Shinjuku is a beast, but Google Maps usually handles it pretty well. Maybe even download the map area beforehand if your data plan's a bit dodgy. You'll be fine.

honestly just follow the signs for the east exit then walk straight past the yodobashi camera, it's like 5 mins from there

Whitebox in Tokyo 2026: Is It Still Worth It?

I used to go there for exhibitions all the time but I heard it's changed, and I'm wondering if the neighborhood is still worth living in or if it's all just turned into offices now.

yeah the old Whitebox spot got gutted around then, last I walked past it was a startup office on the upper floors. kuramae's decent but honestly Kiyosumi-Shirakawa side is quieter and the rents are still half of Shibuya. miyamasuzaka is basically all towers now.

kuramae's rents crept up too since the tawaman went in, kiyosumi side is still the better bet

whitebox actually closed back in 2018, the space is a gallery-slash-coworking thing now. shibuya's still fine to live in but the rents near miyamasuzaka have jumped hard, more office towers than studios these days. if you want that old creative vibe try kuramae or kiyosumi instead
