Best Lawson in Tokyo?

I'm talking like, twenty different kinds. I once tried to sample them all in one sitting... bad idea. My stomach regretted that. Anyway, my question is: Does anyone know if they ever restock their limited-edition melon pan before noon? I've missed out twice now because I'm usually there closer to lunch. It's become a personal quest...

Damn, that Lawson sounds amazing. Twenty onigiri?! That's dedication to the craft. Regarding the melon pan... I've heard that the smaller Lawson stores often get their limited edition stuff earlier in the day, sometimes even before the big ones. You could try hitting up a few smaller ones near your office in Shinjuku before noon. Might be worth a shot. Good luck on your quest! May the melon pan be with you.

Seriously? Smaller Lawson's get the limited edition stuff first?! That's... game changing. I always assumed the bigger ones would be better stocked. Thanks for the tip! I'll ditch my usual Shinjuku go-to and try my luck at a smaller one near work. Twenty onigiri was excessive, I know, but it was a particularly stressful day. Melon pan was the reward. May the odds be ever in our favor.

Bagel scam at Hole in One Tokyo 2026?

Stopped by Hole in One in Tokyo for a bagel and the guy at the counter said the plain ones were sold out but he could sell me a "special reserve" one for 1800 yen if I paid cash. Felt off so I walked.… Stopped by Hole in One in Tokyo for a bagel and the guy at the counter said the plain ones were sold out but he could sell me a "special reserve" one for 1800 yen if I paid cash. Felt off so I walked. Is that a known thing there or did I just catch someone trying it on? Also is 1800 yen even normal for a bagel in that area?

Cash-only "reserve" is the tell.
