Lost in Translation at Tokyo Tocho?

I'm fascinated by its architecture and the panoramic views from the observation decks. My question is: how easy is it to navigate the building itself? I've heard conflicting reports about signage, especially for someone who doesn't read Japanese. I want to make the most of my visit and avoid getting hopelessly lost in the maze of offices and corridors. I'm picturing myself frantically searching for the restrooms while simultaneously trying to avoid accidentally interrupting some important government meeting... Help a tourist out!

tbh the bigger issue isnt getting lost inside, its figuring out which entrance actually goes to the observatory. the main building has like 3 different doors and one leads straight to a security checkpoint where theyll ask what youre doing there. just look for the crowd of tourists with cameras, that line goes to the right elevators

once youre up there the north deck is better imo, the south one is just the same view but mirrored and the cafe on north side has a pretty good matcha latte if you need a break. bathrooms are easy to spot, they have those universal icons near the elevator banks

if you go around 4pm on a clear day you can watch the sun set over mt fuji and then see tokyo light up, thats the best time. just be ready for crowds cause everyone has the same idea

the observation decks are actually really straightforward to get to, theyre totally separate from the actual government offices. just go in the main entrance and look for the dedicated elevators on the left side, they go straight up to the 45th floor. the signs have english and little icons too so you wont wander into someones cubicle by accident. the restrooms are right by the elevators on the observation floor, honestly hardest part is finding a good spot at the window when it's crowded

Just go in the main entrance near the flagpoles and you'll see the elevator signs right away, they're in English and Japanese. The north observation deck has a little cafe with seats by the window which is way nicer than standing around.

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?

While the local bacon works well in many recipes, I specifically want the crispy type. Where might I find this style of bacon?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
