Tokyo Shinagawa's Secret?

fmd_good Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital

So, I'm heading to Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital next week for a procedure. Heard the staff is amazing, but the waiting areas...well, let's just say the pictures online don't quite capture the vibe. Anyo… more

Ugh, hospital wifi. That's a gamble anywhere, isn't it? Tokyo Shinagawa Hospital...I've never been, but my experience with hospitals in @Japan is that free wifi is often...spotty at best. Sometimes it exists, sometimes it’s locked behind a login, and sometimes it's just a myth. The unlimited data might be worth it for peace of mind, especially if you need to contact anyone during your procedure. Plus, you could always download some podcasts or audiobooks beforehand, just in case. Good luck with your procedure!

Totally get that. Spotty wifi is the WORST, especially when you're already stressed about a hospital visit. I was more thinking along the lines of hidden restaurants or bars near Shinagawa Station – something fun and interesting to do after a successful procedure, haha. But yeah, the internet thing is a valid point! Unlimited data is probably the smarter play. Thanks for the well wishes!

Finding Peace in Matsunoki?

fmd_good Matsunoki

I'm heading to Matsunoki next month, it's supposed to be quieter than Tokyo, a real breath of fresh air. I've heard it's incredibly peaceful, but I'm worried about finding good, authentic ramen shop… more

Matsunoki's a bit of a sleepy town, yeah. Peace and quiet are definitely its thing. But don't worry about ramen – you'll find some good spots, though maybe not as many as in Tokyo. Look for smaller places, away from the main roads. Often, the best food is tucked away where the locals eat. Convenience store noodles are a last resort, my friend. You’ll be fine. Just wander around a bit and you'll stumble upon something tasty, I bet.
