Late-Night Ramen?

Is there a decent, non-chain ramen place open that late nearby? I'm willing to walk a bit, but honestly, after a long day exploring @Tokyo, I'm really not feeling a long trek. This 7-11 has everything else, I just need a noodle fix.

honestly if you're right by a 7-11 you're probably in some random residential block, not near the golden gai or shinjuku backstreets where the 24hr shops are. try searching for "ramen" on google maps and filter by "open now" at 3am, but tbh most legit places close by 1 or 2am at the latest. there's a spot called Menya Musashi near shinjuku station that runs late but it's a chain, not the hole-in-the-wall you want. your best bet if you're not near a major hub is to grab a cup noodle from that 7-11 and add a raw egg and some sesame oil from the condiment section, it's suprisingly close to proper hakata style in a pinch

Depends on exactly where your hotel is, but chances are you're near enough to a few smaller ramen shops that stay open late. Check Google Maps; the hours are usually listed. Sometimes even the smaller places will close earlier than advertised though, so keep your expectations tempered. Three AM is pushing it, even in Tokyo. You might have better luck finding something open around 1 AM and then settling for a convenience store onigiri if that's not enough.

Most 7-Elevens in Tokyo sell decent fresh ramen cups you can microwave yourself. Not fancy but hits the spot without any walking.

Where can I find crispy, pan-fried bacon similar to a certain international style?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
