Best place to find a used skateboard or cruiser?
try hard off or hard off, the outdoor sports version of book off. i've seen cruisers and penny boards there for like 3-5k yen. also check out the skate shops themselves in tokyo like instant or muro, they sometimes have a used rack or know someone selling
Mercari is the move for sure, but if you want to see stuff in person check out Murasaki Sports. They carry skate gear and sometimes have used boards on the floor at the bigger locations like the one in Shibuya. The prices are still higher than what you'd pay in the US but a complete deck under 10,000 yen is common. Also keep an eye on Craigslist Tokyo, people offloading boards from their study abroad days pop up there pretty often.
Have you tried checking out secondhand shops specializing in sports equipment? Or maybe online marketplaces like Mercari or Yahoo Auctions Japan? Sometimes you find better deals there than in the larger chain stores.

honestly the tanuki on the north loop past the pond are bold now and the itachi mostly clear out the mice near the bamboo grove by 6am
yeah the itachi are out early but its the kiji-bato and karasu taking over the food scraps thats teh real change
The north loop tanuki are denning under the fenced shed by the west gate now, which is why they don't scatter when you pass.
That shed's been padlocked since April so they've shifted to the drainage culvert behind the west gate toilets.
fair point on the culvert. i've been seeing scat along teh top of it most mornings now, more than a couple piles. think theyre using it as a latrine not a den tbh

Which stretch though, near the pond outlet or further along? I've only been getting singles past the second bridge lately, so a family group is a good sign. Cubs too, or just adults?
