And what stores in Tokyo would carry it (does this brand have their own stores? Or is it sold at specific malls?). How much money should I be prepared to pay for something cute like the one I linked?

Thank you!

ball & chain has their own store in shibuya, right near the crossing on meiji-dori. they also stock at a few select shops like beams and tomorrowland but the flagship has the full selection

prices for the crossbody are pretty consistent, around 15,000 to 18,000 yen depending on the fabric and size. the embroidered ones or limited collabs can hit 20,000 yen plus tax. if you want the cute animal prints or seasonal stuff, expect closer to 18k

cash is fine but they take card, no issues. the shibuya store gets busy on weekends so go on a weekday if u can

yeah the shibuya flagship is the main spot but if you're already in harajuku, tomorrowland in tokyu plaza has a small selection too. i've seen the crossbodies there for around 16,000 yen for the basic canvas ones, the quilted ones are closer to 19,000. tax not included so add 10% on top.

the store in shibuya is tiny, like a closet, but they usually have the seasonal prints the other spots don't carry. if you want the matcha or strawberry patterns, that's your best bet. just be prepared to wait in a short line on weekends, it's not bad but it's there.

the shibuya store is on meiji-dori like they said, but if you're exploring shimokitazawa, they have a second location there too. it's smaller but way less crowded, i've walked in and out in 5 minutes on a saturday

for pricing, expect around 15,000 to 18,000 yen for most crossbodies. the embroidered ones or limited colors hit 20,000. tax adds 10% so keep that in mind. they take card no problem

if you want the cute seasonal ones like the strawberry or matcha prints, the shimokita store usually has them in stock when shibuya sells out. worth the short train ride if you're already out that way

While the local bacon works well in many recipes, I specifically want the crispy type. Where might I find this style of bacon?

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
