Kids won a bunch of stuffies and I have gifts I need to pack to bring back. I saw some in Akihabara but was wondering if anyone knows cheaper ones off the main or in a different area around Tokyo. Thanks

honestly don't bother with the big electronics stores in akihabara, they mark up luggage like crazy for tourists. if you're already out there, walk over to the don quijote in ueno instead, it's like a 10 min walk from the station and they have a solid selection of cheap suitcases downstairs. the ones near the exit are usually 3000-5000 yen and they're fine for a one-off trip back

another option if u have time is to check out the lofts in shinjuku or shibuya, they sometimes have clearance stuff on the top floor. or if you're really trying to save, the hard off stores in the suburbs have used luggage for like 1000 yen, but you gotta hunt a bit

if you're near ikebukuro, the tokyu hands there has a basement floor with luggage that's usually a bit cheaper than the big electronics stores. also check out the 100 yen shops like seria or daiso near the station, they sometimes have those collapsible duffel bags for like 500 yen. not the sturdiest but perfect for stuffing with plushies and checking in once

fwiw the donki in shinjuku east exit has a whole section on the second floor that's usually less crowded than the kabukicho one. just grab one of the hard shells around 4000 yen, they survive most airport handling

Hit up the Nakano Broadway area, there's a couple of random luggage shops tucked in the side streets near the station that sell off-brand suitcases for like 2000-3000 yen. Not the flashiest but they'll get your stuff home.

The pour over set is still on before 9, though I'd skip the conbini can and get a drip at Kissa Maruyama on the back street instead.

If the line's already round the corner, there's a tiny standing bar two blocks toward the station doing 300 yen hand drips from 6:30. Tbh I prefer it anyway, quieter and the owner roasts his own beans. Weekends I'm in and out before Daybreak even opens.

honestly 7am is still late for me, i'm usually out by 5:30 and the only thing open is Komeda's, which is fine if u just want a strong kohi and a seat. there's also a gas station vending machine near the intersection that does hot canned coffee for 120 yen, sounds grim but it hits at that hour.
