How is the area around Keisei Hikifune Station as a place to live?
the supermarket situation is decent for a smaller station, there's a maruetsu and a yamaya right there plus the shotengai has a good greengrocer and fish shop. rent is noticeably cheaper than the next stop over at oshiage but you're still close enough to walk to skytree on a nice day. just keep in mind the keisei line express trains skip hikifune so you're stuck with the local which stops everywhere
honestly it's a solid neighborhood if you don't mind being a bit off the tourist trail. the station itself is small but the keisei line gets you to ueno in like 15 mins which is convenient. there's a decent yokocho vibe with some old school izakayas near the station, especially along the tracks. just know that a lot of the apartments are older and you'll prob have to deal with narrow streets if you're biking around
it's pretty chill over there, not too hectic like central tokyo. you got the sumida river nearby for walks and it's way cheaper than places like asakusa or skytree area
