Does anyone know any specific stores that might have past gachas that might not be listed on the gacha site? I went to Nakano Broadway to look around today but came up with nothing. I know there are some on mercari but I'd prefer not to buy used through online means. Thanks!

honestly nakano broadway is prob the most obvious spot but you already tried that. for older gacha capsules specifically your best bet is the secondhand toy shops in akihabara like K-Books or Mandarake they often have bins of loose gacha pulls people trade in. theres a Mandarake in Nakano too but its more focused on figures, the akihabara one has a bigger gacha section.

if you're willing to go further, try the Hard Off in Machida or the Book Off Super Bazaar in Kawasaki - those chain stores get tons of old gacha dumped from people clearing out their collections. the gacha site is only as good as what store staff bother to upload, so a lot of stock just sits unlisted on shelves.

also check the smaller shops in Den Den Town if you ever make it to Osaka but thats a hike for one capsule.

try the gacha machines near the station exits in ikebukuro or shinjuku sometimes the older machines get left in place even when the main site stops tracking them. little side streets with random capsule machines are your best bet

the gacha site is pretty unreliable for older stuff honestly. check the little capsule machine shops in ikebukuro near sunshine city, there's a few tucked away on the second floor of some buildings that never update their inventory online

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
