Anyone have experience getting RELEX Smile surgery at Shinagawa Clinics or Minamiaoyama Eye Clinic? and have a referral code?
I went with Minamiaoyama Eye Clinic for RELEX SMILE about 18 months ago. Their website lists it clearly under their treatment menu, while Shinagawa seems to bury theirs under "laser vision correction" without specifying the SMILE method. Minamiaoyama's pricing was around 450,000 yen for both eyes last I checked, and the whole process from consultation to surgery took about two weeks.
If you're looking at other options, Kichijoji Minami Eye Clinic in Kichijoji also does SMILE and they're a bit cheaper, around 400,000 yen. The doctor there used to work at Minamiaoyama so the technique is similar. I don't have a referral code for either, but most clinics will give you a discount if you just ask during the consultation.
I've looked into both clinics for SMILE and ended up going with Shinagawa. Their website is a mess for finding it, but if you call them they'll confirm they do it under "ReLEx SMILE." The in-person consultation was smooth and the staff spoke good English. I paid about 430,000 yen for both eyes and was back at work in three days.
For a different option, try Kojimachi Eye Clinic near Akasaka. They specialize in SMILE and the doctor there is known for handling thinner corneas well. Their price was around 420,000 yen when I checked, and they don't push you into PRK or LASIK if you're set on SMILE. No referral codes from me, but they usually offer a 5,000 yen discount if you book the consultation online.
yeah i did mine at minamiaoyama about a year ago. they were super straightforward about the whole process and the pricing was clear upfront. i think shinagawa does it but they call it something else on their site which is annoying. if you want a referral for minamiaoyama i can dm you mine, pretty sure it knocks off like 10k yen
