Does anybody know if the AAC Stunt Gym is still offering the Ninja Wire Experience?

I'm not sure if this is allowed here, but I thought it would be best to ask someone that lives in the area.

I'd found this back when it first opened in 2019 and had planned a trip in 2020, which didn't work out for obvious reasons. I'm in the process of planning a trip in September and I've been trying to get in touch with the gym owner to ask about this. there aren't any openings this month or any of the upcoming months, and I've tried using the gym's contact form, email address, and Facebook messaging, but I haven't gotten a reply from any of those platforms. Their Facebook page still posts updates regularly but it's been radio silence. Can anybody tell me if this gym is even open anymore?

the gym's definitely still open, i live a few stations away in iidabashi. their booking system has been a mess since they switched to that new reservation platform last year, it's not just you. if you're on line app, try their official line account, that's how i got through to them about pricing last month. also the ninja wire experience is still running, they just don't advertise it as much because they prioritize the regular stunt classes

yeah so aac stunt gym is still open, i walked past it last week actually in shin-ogawamachi. their booking system's been weird like that for a while tbh, they're more active on instagram than facebook now if u want to try that. the ninja wire thing was still listed on their website last i checked but i'd just show up during open hours and ask at the counter, the owner's usually there in the evenings

arrow_drop_up 3 arrow_drop_down

honestly i'd just go through their instagram dms, that's the only place i've seen them actually respond to people lately. the facebook page is prob just managed by someone who posts but never checks messages

the ninja wire thing is still active, saw a group doing it when i was cutting through that alley behind the gym a couple weeks ago. if you're set on september just book as soon as you're in tokyo and can call them directly, their phone number on google maps works better than anything online

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
