I want to curb that with an old passion of mine which is Graff art or Graffiti. I have an area where I can do it legally as I own my own home but I don't know where to get spray cans and caps for the cans besides online which the prices are crazy. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on where to get paint and caps?

Check out Shimokita Paint in Shimokitazawa. They stock Montana and Molotow at reasonable prices, way better than the markup you'll see from Amazon sellers. They also have a good selection of caps including skinny and soft caps. If you're closer to the west side of the city, there's a spot called K-Box in Koenji that carries cans and caps too, though their inventory is smaller. Both places are cash only, just so you know.

If you're near Shibuya, hit up Village Vanguard in Udagawachō. They have a small but decent rack of Montana cans and a few cap packs near the register, usually around 600-700 yen a can. It's not a dedicated art shop but they've carried them for years and restock regularly. For caps specifically, the art supply section at Tokyu Hands in Shibuya has a better selection than the big box hardware stores, and you can grab a mixed pack for about 800 yen. I'd skip Sekaido in Shinjuku for spray paint, their markup is worse than online.

honestly, just go to any big home center like Shimachu or Kohnan. they sell spray cans for like 300-400 yen in the paint aisle, not art brand stuff but it works fine for practice. the caps are trickier but you can usually grab a pack of universal ones at Loft or Hands for under a grand

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
