Best website or place to find gaming-related (or other hobby-specific) in-person events?

I'm wondering if there are specific websites or places to find hobby-specific events in Tokyo area? For example, I'm looking for anything gaming/gamer related - Dreamhack, Genshin, League of Legends, Fortnite, any Electronic or Gaming expos, tournaments, pop-up shops, etc.

I notice there are occasionally 'pop-up' shops/events, but I usually don't hear about them until it's too late. But I'd also love to know about 'bigger' events (like Dreamhack) that get announced months in advance. But even googling doesn't really turn up a lot (googling in English... wondering if there are specific Japanese websites to search for)?

I've also heard X (formerly Twitter) is popular in Japan - is that a place to look for events ? And if so, any hints on what hashtags to look for?

Thx so much for your help and advice! Maybe see a few of you at the next event :)

yeah twitter is def the way to go for japanese events, but you gotta be specific with the tags. for example ゲーム大会 works but try ゲームイベント2024 or ゲームポップアップ for pop-ups. also follow accounts like 東京ゲームショウ or ゲームマーケット they post early.

for bigger stuff like dreamhack, check 東京ビッグサイト's official site they update their calendar months ahead. also 幕張メッセ in chiba has a lot of gaming events like league tournaments. honestly googling in english is useless here, stick to jp keywords

one more thing - ジモティー (jimoty) is a local classifieds site that sometimes lists small gaming meetups or tournaments in tokyo. a bit random but worth a peek

honestly try checking meetup.com too, a lot of smaller gaming circles post there in tokyo. also ツイキャス sometimes has event info in their community tabs, not just streams

for bigger events like dreamhack or tokyo game show, check konami's event page or bandai namco's site too, they sometimes sponsor stuff u wont find on big site. twitter is good but also try インスタグラム for pop-ups, search ゲームポップアップストア and youll see posts from smaller shops. also タイムアウト東京 has a decent events section in english, covers some gaming stuff

if u have a costco membership the kirkland thick cut is the move, 4 packs of 500g for around 2500 yen and it crisps up proper in a cold pan. for smaller runs, precce in azabudai hills & the basement at isetan shinjuku both carry imported US & danish brands in the chilled case, just read the label for "thick cut" or "smoked" and not "loin". also worth knowing japanese bacon is often wet-cured so pat it dry before frying or it steams instead of crisping

kaldi coffee farm is hit or miss but their smoked bacon from denmark shows up pretty regular, the 200g pack runs about 600 yen. what actually works better for me is asking the butcher counter at peacock or life to slice the block bacon thick, like 5mm, they do it for free and it crisps way better than the pre-packed stuff. also fwiw cheap bacon crisps faster, the fatty supermarket kind at 300 yen a pack works fine if u cook it from cold in a dry pan and pour off the fat as it renders.

tbh the gyomu super store brand bacon is surprisingly decent for crisping up, its not thick cut but if you cook it low and slow it gets pretty crunchy. the key is the dry cure vs wet cure thing, wet cure steams. also check hanamasa if you have one nearby, they sell big packs of american style bacon thats actually smoked and firm.
