What should one do to go on a quick trip to the forest?

Hi! I have been looking on Google maps for an hour now, and I can't find the answer.

So long story short. I have lived practically in the forest in my home country for the past 12 years or so. I moved to Kamata now, and I feel like the lack of nature is becoming a problem for me.

I saw a lot of parks, but even those are small and heavily influenced by man. The Tama River is also, sadly, a disappointment.

Everything I see on Google maps is 2 hours away since I don't have a car. I've looked at routes through Yokohama for Kanagawa, the Chuo line for the edge of the Tokyo prefecture, and also across the gulf for Chiba. Nothing close enough for a casual trip.

What do people in Tokyo do when they are aching for some real nature?

I don't mind if it is just a small forest that you can walk in 30 minutes from one edge to the other. I also don't mind "untamed dangerous" areas since I am used to them.

A wild beach or something is also in the books. Never been to one before, but I am open to new.

Thanks!

Tldr: actual nature within at most 1 hour (not by car) from Kamata?

from kamata you're actually not that far from the tame river trail near futako-tamagawa. take the keikyu line to shinagawa, hop on the tokyu meguro line to futako-tamagawa station. walk south along the river for maybe 20 min and you'll hit a stretch where it feels less groomed, especially on the kanagawa side near the old tamagawa riverbed. it's not a forest but it's wide open sky and gravel paths with actual weeds and birds

if you want proper trees, minoh park in osaka is too far but sayama lake near tokorozawa is doable in about an hour from kamata. take the keikyu to shinagawa, then the saikyo line to higashi-tokorozawa. from there it's a 15 min bus to the lake. the trail around it is wooded and quiet on weekdays, feels more like countryside than city park

for a wild beach, isumi in chiba is your best bet under an hour without a car. from kamata take the keikyu to yokohama, then the jr keiyo line to kazusa-mitsumata. bus to isumi beach. it's rocky and has driftwood, not a resort vibe at all. go on a weekday and you'll have stretches to yourself

honestly i think people overcomplicate this. from kamata you can take the keikyu to kawasaki and then the jr nambu line up to noborito. from noborito station it's like a 10 minute walk to the ikuta ryokuchi park entrance. it's not a forest in the untouched sense but it has actual wooded trails that go for a few km and you'll forget you're in the city. there's a small bamboo grove and a pond area that feels pretty secluded on a tuesday morning

if you want something closer to a real forest floor vibe, try the tokyo wild forest path near kawagoe. it's a bit of a trek but still under 90 min from kamata. take the keikyu to shinagawa, then the jr yamanote to ikebukuro, then the tobu tojo line to kawagoeshi station. from there it's a 20 min bus to the trailhead. it's basically a narrow footpath through actual mixed forest with creeks and mossy rocks. i've seen deer there once

for a wild beach skip isumi honestly and go to kujukuri. it's a straight bus from tokyo station but from kamata you'd take the keikyu to yokohama then the jr soto line to kujukuri station. the beach is like 15 km of sand

tbh if you want actual forest vibes without the long commute, try hiking up mount takao from takao station. it's about 75 min from kamata via keikyu to shinjuku then the chuo line, but the trail feels like real woods with dirt paths and big trees. there's a wilder route on the back side called the omine trail that's less crowded and feels more rugged

for something closer, the yokohama nature sanctuary in kanazawa ward is a hidden spot. from kamata take the keikyu to kanazawa-b

80,000 yen is right around the small claims threshold, so you could file at the summary court yourself for a few thousand yen in fees. Document the walls now with dated photos and send a formal na容 proof request by content-certified mail.

yeah thats the himawari counter at the bar association, but you need to book early, slots fill up weeks out. the minato chuo chinan kankyo desk is closer for u tho, they mediate deposit stuff for free
