Best views from Minamizono Pedestrian Bridge Osaka 2026
early morning around 7, before the office crowd
7 works but light's better closer to 8 in spring
8 it is then, thanks for teh tip
7 on a sunday then, weekday still busy
yeah sunday is the move, just check the weather first since spring mornings get hazy and kill the view
haze is worse after rain clears tbh, check the osaka amp up radar the night before and pick a dry clear morning
weekday 7 still gets commuters tbh, try 6:30
6:30 makes sense if you want the bridge to yourself, though the light on the river bend is still flat until closer to 7.
7 is fine but go to the north end for the river bend shot, most people cluster at the south railing
7:30 actually, sunrise light hits the bend later in spring
Shimada Ruins Osaka 2026: worth visiting?
Shimada is a Yayoi settlement site, not a kofun, so the ceramics crowd cares way more than tourists do.
Dotaku bronze bells, if that's your thing.
Agreed, and the pottery is mostly plain Yayoi sueki, not the flashy stuff.
open excavation days in spring, i think
Usually late April, weekends only, and they book up
Bookings open about a month ahead through the city's bunkazai page, which is Japanese-only and fills fast.
Do they still cap it at 20 people per slot? Heard that from a bunkazai volunteer last year.
Right, they run them but only a handful of days and you have to register in advance. I'd double check the city site closer to the date since dates shift.
Checked last time i was there, it's fenced off with no English signage, so honestly skippable unless you're deep into kofun stuff.
yeah unless u read japanese the signs wont help anyway
