Whoa, that's wild! A fig in your cacio e pepe? That's definitely not standard fare. Maybe it was a test kitchen experiment gone awry? Or a super-secret, off-menu ingredient for a select few lucky diners? I'd be inclined to think prank, but a well-executed prank. Seriously, though, that's a story you'll be telling for years.
