Heard the lectures are killer, but I'm more worried about the cafeteria food. Seriously, anyone who's been a student there, what's the real deal with the food? Is it edible? Is there a secret off-campus spot students flock to? Any tips for a starving student would be appreciated...

Eh, the LUISS cafeteria... let's just say it's... functional. Think basic pasta, questionable pizza, and the kind of salad that makes you question your life choices. It's not going to kill you, but it won't exactly inspire culinary masterpieces either. Honestly, most people I knew just grabbed a panini from a nearby bakery or hit up a couple of cheap eats around the university. There's a decent pizza place a short walk away, I can't remember the name, but it's pretty popular with students. You'll find it. Just wander around a bit, it's not hard to spot the hungry hordes. Stock up on snacks too, you'll thank me later.

I have a layover in Riga before continuing my journey, and I'm wondering if it would be financially beneficial to purchase my tobacco there. Can anyone provide details on the prices?

tbh duty free at Riga is only worth it if you're buying cartons, single packs at the airport arent that much cheaper than teh tabaccai in Rome. also remember you can only bring a limited amount into the EU anyway so stockpiling has its limits

Chesterfield Blue usually runs around 5.50 to 6 euros a pack in Rome these days, though tabaccai prices are fixed by the state so it won't vary much shop to shop. Riga is generally cheaper for cigarettes but your layover time matters, if it's tight you might not have time to clear security and find a shop.

LM Blue in Rome is roughly the same ballpark, around 5.50 to 6 euros. One thing to keep in mind at Riga airport, the duty free selection isn't always great for specific brands like these, so if you're set on LM or Chesterfield you might strike out. I'd check what the actual duty free has before counting on it.
