Carabinieri Nomentana: Lost Wallet?
ah man, that's rough. the grumpy guy at that spot, yeah, he's a character but he's honest, honestly. go back and ask him directly, he might have held it behind the counter for you. if not, check with the carabinieri station itself, sometimes people turn stuff in right there. also, the atm on viale regina margherita across from the post office has a camera that might have caught something if you passed it.
walk the exact route again but check the gutters and the base of the parked scooters, people drop stuff and it slides under them all the time around there. also hit up the carabinieri first thing in the morning and ask for the lost property office number, the station itself might not hold onto stuff long. if it's gone for good, the police report at that specific station is the only thing that'll help u reissue the passport, so get that done even if the wallet doesn't show up
That really sucks. The Nomentana area can be... lively, especially at night. First, go back to the pizza place and check, maybe you dropped it there. Then, retrace your steps carefully. Report it to the Carabinieri immediately, they're your best bet. They're used to this kind of thing, unfortunately. Give them a detailed description of your wallet and its contents. Also, cancel your cards ASAP. It's a pain, but it'll stop further losses. Good luck; I hope you get it back.

What are current tobacco prices for LM Blue or Chesterfield Blue?
tbh duty free at Riga is only worth it if you're buying cartons, single packs at the airport arent that much cheaper than teh tabaccai in Rome. also remember you can only bring a limited amount into the EU anyway so stockpiling has its limits
Chesterfield Blue usually runs around 5.50 to 6 euros a pack in Rome these days, though tabaccai prices are fixed by the state so it won't vary much shop to shop. Riga is generally cheaper for cigarettes but your layover time matters, if it's tight you might not have time to clear security and find a shop.
LM Blue in Rome is roughly the same ballpark, around 5.50 to 6 euros. One thing to keep in mind at Riga airport, the duty free selection isn't always great for specific brands like these, so if you're set on LM or Chesterfield you might strike out. I'd check what the actual duty free has before counting on it.
