Best street shopping near Market Square Mumbai 2026

Go on a weekday morning, the vendors are more willing to bargain and you won't be elbowing through people near the fabric stalls.

Ask for Imran near the chappal stalls, best rates

good tip but which lane exactly? the chappal stalls near the station side or the ones deeper in past the bangle sellers?

His nephew handles the stall after 2pm

He's solid on footwear but don't bother haggling hard on the kolhapuri chappals, he barely moves below 350. Pay cash, his card machine "isn't working" every single time.

Foodland in Mumbai, still worth it in 2026?

been going to foodland for years but the one near me has gotten pricey & the shelves look thinner lately. anyone know if the bandra or andheri branches are better stocked in 2026, or should i just swi… been going to foodland for years but the one near me has gotten pricey & the shelves look thinner lately. anyone know if the bandra or andheri branches are better stocked in 2026, or should i just switch to dmart

Honestly the Malad branch near Evershine Nagar still stocks well and the pricing is more reasonable than what you're describing.

Prices crept up after Diwali, still better than Kandivali

The Andheri branch off Link Road holds up better than Bandra, which has felt picked over every time I've stopped in since January. Honestly for staples I'd keep Foodland for fresh stuff and do a Dmart run at Andheri West for the bulk monthly things.

yeah this, plus the powai one on hiranandani link rd is decent too

Agree on splitting the run, but the fresh stuff at the Oshiwara one off New Link Rd beats both for veggies.
