Sunday Market Mumbai 2026: still worth it?

I used to score decent vintage stuff there back in the day but havent gone in a while. Whats the scene like in 2026, still good for bargains or mostly overpriced now?

the flip side is the food stalls behind the tracks, vada pav & chai at like 15 rupees. i still find good brassware & old hindi vinyl from the bhuleshwar regulars if u skip the front tables. prices have climbed but the bargaining is still half the fun tbh

That brass guy shifted to Bandra stall

Bhuleshwar guys now quote 800 for a shaving mirror, bargain to 300.

Fiver says the same mirror is 250 by noon.

Skip the front row and head to the lane past the cotton green stalls, the regulars there still keep the good vinyl under the table. Vada pav at 15 is a steal now, the same thing outside is 30.

chai wala near gate 2, 10 rupees still

Go early Sunday before 8am, the real stuff gets picked over by dealers by 10 and Mahalaxmi stalls turn into pure tourist pricing.

arrow_drop_up 1 arrow_drop_down

Dealers start 6:30, honestly.

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Image janette local ·

true, but by 7 the good stalls are already half empty

arrow_drop_up 2 arrow_drop_down

Before 8am works because the racecourse side gate opens at 6, so you're ahead of the crowd that only knows the main entrance.

Where to find good deli dating spots in Mumbai 2026

Curious whether the norms here lean toward coffee first or dinner, and what genuinely surprised you when you started dating in this city.

Apps do most of the introductions, but I've seen plenty of conversations start at the Bandra outposts of places like The Baker's Dozen over a coffee. Coffee first is the norm here, dinner feels like a bigger commitment given the commute. What surprised me was how much people rely on mutual friends to vet someone before the first meet.

The mutual-friends vetting is real, but Lower Parel's Khar Social crowd skips it and just asks for your Instagram before coffee.

That Instagram-first crowd thins out fast once you hit 30, then it's back to someone's cousin doing the reference check.
