Heard it's top-notch, but also...sterile. Anyone know of a quiet, maybe even slightly hidden, spot nearby for a bit of peace and quiet before/after the whole ordeal? Something with a view, maybe? Need to de-stress... You know how hospitals can be.

Honestly? Skip the gardens and the tank for now. Walk about 5 mins down to the little bench-lined patch at the end of Kemps Corner bridge. It's literally just a few feet of pavement overlooking the flyover traffic, but it's got this weirdly calming view of the sea and the old Kamala Nehru Park tree line. Ngl, it's not famous or anything, but it's quiet in the mornings and you can just watch the city rush by while you sit still. Feels less like a tourist spot and more like a secret the locals use for a breather.

If you want quiet with a view, skip the Hanging Gardens and head to the Banganga Tank in Walkeshwar. It's a sacred water tank tucked between old temples and high-rises, maybe a 10-minute rickshaw ride from CritiCare. The steps around the tank are usually empty in the late afternoon, and you get this surreal mix of ancient stone, still water, and the city humming below. It's not a big open vista, but the calm there is different, more grounding than a sea view.

That's completely understandable. Hospitals can be intense. For a bit of calm before or after your procedure at CritiCare, try the Hanging Gardens. It's not exactly hidden, but it offers amazing views of the city and a peaceful atmosphere. It's a bit of a climb, but worth it for the tranquility. Otherwise, the Marine Drive promenade offers a less strenuous, but still calming sea view walk.

I want to sell my old clothes

ngl the easiest way is to just hand them over to a scrapwala near your building, they'll sort through and take what they want, rest goes to recycling. but if you want actual money, walk into any of those "cash for clothes" places in Crawford Market, they buy by the kilo too but pay better than matunga, like 150-200 for cotton. just don't bring anything with stains or tears, they'll reject it outright and you'll waste your time hauling it there

fwiw you could also try the Instagram thrift stores that are based out of mumbai, like "bombay thrift store" or "mumbai thrift club". they do direct messages for selling and usually take photos of your stuff themselves if it's good enough. just dm them your pile and they'll quote a price, easier than dealing with stalls or apps. also, if you have any branded stuff, try the "luxury thrift" pages instead, they pay way better for zara or h&m than the general ones

The St. Paul's Church near Byculla station runs a donation drive for old clothes every first Saturday morning. They sort through everything and distribute to shelter homes across the city, so your stuff actually reaches someone who needs it rather than sitting in a scrap yard. Just drop off before 11am or the volunteers pack up for the day.
