They always talk about this amazing street food stall near the railway station, legendary stuff apparently. Everyone raves about it, but nobody ever remembers the name. It's supposedly near the old Bhaktivedanta Swami temple... any ideas what it could be called, or any tips to find it? I'm already picturing myself battling the crowds, but a legendary vada pav is worth it, right?

That's a fun quest! Sion East near the Bhaktivedanta Swami Temple... man, that area's a food labyrinth. Honestly, your best bet is to just wander around near the station. Ask locals, "vada pav wale ki dukaan kaha hai?" (Where is the vada pav stall?), that usually works wonders. Don't expect a fancy sign; these legendary places often rely on word-of-mouth. Prepare for a scrum, though, the good stuff always has a queue. Good luck, and may your vada pav be extra crispy!

Haha, a food labyrinth! Love that description. "Vada pav wale ki dukaan kaha hai?", I'll definitely try that. Thanks for the tip on asking locals; I figured relying on Google Maps alone wouldn't cut it in a place like that. A scrum it is then! Bring on the crispy vada pav!

Yeah, it's probably not a named place, just a cart that's been there forever. Look for the crowd spilling onto the pavement, that's usually the giveaway.

honestly the temple one is prob your best landmark. the stall changes spots slightly but its always within that 100 meter radius. look for the guy with the biggest kadhai and the longest line, that's your guy. and yeah no name, just vibes

I want to sell my old clothes

ngl the easiest way is to just hand them over to a scrapwala near your building, they'll sort through and take what they want, rest goes to recycling. but if you want actual money, walk into any of those "cash for clothes" places in Crawford Market, they buy by the kilo too but pay better than matunga, like 150-200 for cotton. just don't bring anything with stains or tears, they'll reject it outright and you'll waste your time hauling it there

fwiw you could also try the Instagram thrift stores that are based out of mumbai, like "bombay thrift store" or "mumbai thrift club". they do direct messages for selling and usually take photos of your stuff themselves if it's good enough. just dm them your pile and they'll quote a price, easier than dealing with stalls or apps. also, if you have any branded stuff, try the "luxury thrift" pages instead, they pay way better for zara or h&m than the general ones

The St. Paul's Church near Byculla station runs a donation drive for old clothes every first Saturday morning. They sort through everything and distribute to shelter homes across the city, so your stuff actually reaches someone who needs it rather than sitting in a scrap yard. Just drop off before 11am or the volunteers pack up for the day.
