The staff were amazing, always smiling and ready to help. I spent most of my time exploring the nearby Crawford Market, it was a sensory overload! The smells... the sights... the sounds of hawkers yelling out their prices. Anyway, my question is: does anyone know any good, not-too-touristy restaurants near Prakash Inn that serve authentic Maharashtrian food? I tried a few places, but they seemed geared more towards tourists. I'm craving some truly local flavors.

For a unique experience, consider visiting the Food Hall at the nearby Crossroads Mall on Tardeo Road, it offers a few Maharashtrian food stalls, including one that serves authentic Kolhapuri cuisine, the prices are slightly higher than street food, around 300 to 500 rupees per meal, but the quality is excellent, and it's a great place to try some local specialties like pandhra rassa and tambada rassa, the mall is about a 15 minute taxi ride from Prakash Inn, just head down Peddar Road and take a left turn onto Tardeo Road.

tbh, one thing that might help u find some authentic maharashtrian food near prakash inn is to look for places that are popular with the local office crowd, they usually know where to get good, affordable food, and there's this one place on laminar park road, it's called gypsy restaurant, it's a bit of a hole in the wall but they serve some amazing sabzi and roti, and it's only about a 5 minute rickshaw ride from the inn, u can ask the driver to take u to the old custom house and then walk from there, prices are around 200 rupees for a full meal, which is pretty reasonable considering the quality of the food.

since you're looking for authentic maharashtrian food near prakash inn, i think you should consider visiting the street food stalls onGrant Road, they have a bunch of vendors serving traditional dishes like vada pav, pani puri, and misal pav, which are all really popular with the locals, prices are pretty cheap too, around 50 to 100 rupees per dish, and it's about a 10 minute walk from the inn, just head down syed abbas street and take a left on grant road

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 12 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
