Feels like a million things are happening all at once. I saw this amazing street food stall tucked away, amazing vada pav, best I've ever had, but I can't remember where exactly it was! It was near that little temple with the bright orange walls... anyone know the name of that vada pav place? I need to go back.

oh i know that spot, it's the one with the older guy in the white cap right? that's sharma's vada pav, no sign just a cart but everyone calls it that. he's been there since the 90s i think, his chutney is what makes it different from the others on the main road. if you go back around 5pm he sometimes has a batch of batata vada fresh out of the oil, way better than the reheated ones

yeah that area is a sensory overload even by mumbai standards lol. if you mean the orange temple near the nala, that's the old hanuman mandir. the vada pav guy you're thinking of is probably rajubhai's cart, he sets up right where the gully meets the main road around 4pm. his thecha is lethal though so go easy if you're not used to it

sigh. every tourist in suman nagar asks about that same cart. its the one with the faded blue umbrella, not the white cap one everyone mentions. the guy's name is prakash and he adds a sprinkle of raw masala on top before serving. look for the pile of broken

I want to sell my old clothes

ngl the easiest way is to just hand them over to a scrapwala near your building, they'll sort through and take what they want, rest goes to recycling. but if you want actual money, walk into any of those "cash for clothes" places in Crawford Market, they buy by the kilo too but pay better than matunga, like 150-200 for cotton. just don't bring anything with stains or tears, they'll reject it outright and you'll waste your time hauling it there

fwiw you could also try the Instagram thrift stores that are based out of mumbai, like "bombay thrift store" or "mumbai thrift club". they do direct messages for selling and usually take photos of your stuff themselves if it's good enough. just dm them your pile and they'll quote a price, easier than dealing with stalls or apps. also, if you have any branded stuff, try the "luxury thrift" pages instead, they pay way better for zara or h&m than the general ones

The St. Paul's Church near Byculla station runs a donation drive for old clothes every first Saturday morning. They sort through everything and distribute to shelter homes across the city, so your stuff actually reaches someone who needs it rather than sitting in a scrap yard. Just drop off before 11am or the volunteers pack up for the day.
