Spent half my time trying to upload photos of the amazing street food I found nearby, specifically the pav bhaji from that cart down the road! Anyone else have trouble with their internet there? Seriously considering writing a strongly worded review if it's a recurring issue. I should of checked reviews before I booked... my bad.

That pav bhaji cart is the real draw of that area, I'd pick it over the inn any day. If you're still dealing with the wifi, try sitting in the lobby near the reception desk, that's the only spot where I've ever gotten a stable connection there. The rooms on the third floor are basically a dead zone. For your review, just keep it short and factual about the wifi situation, the management actually responded to my friend's complaint last month and offered a discount on the next stay, so they do read them.

honestly i think the wifi is just bad in that whole stretch of the street, not just the inn. i was at a cafe two doors down last week and it was the same deal, kept dropping every five minutes.

the pav bhaji cart you're talking about is the one near the paan shop right? that guy's been there for like 15 years, his bhaji is way better than the fancy places in colaba. if you're still in the area, try the vada pav from the lady with the yellow cart on s.v. road, shes only there till 1pm tho.

for the review i'd just mention the wifi in one line and move on, the owners prob wont fix it anyway. it's a budget place, you get what you pay for

Yeah, the Wi-Fi at Prakash Inn is notoriously bad. I stayed there a couple months ago and it was a nightmare. Uploading anything was a mission. Pav bhaji near there though? Sounds delicious! Definitely worth the Wi-Fi struggle. Maybe mention the spotty internet in your review, but also rave about the food, that'll balance it out. Good luck!

I want to sell my old clothes

ngl the easiest way is to just hand them over to a scrapwala near your building, they'll sort through and take what they want, rest goes to recycling. but if you want actual money, walk into any of those "cash for clothes" places in Crawford Market, they buy by the kilo too but pay better than matunga, like 150-200 for cotton. just don't bring anything with stains or tears, they'll reject it outright and you'll waste your time hauling it there

fwiw you could also try the Instagram thrift stores that are based out of mumbai, like "bombay thrift store" or "mumbai thrift club". they do direct messages for selling and usually take photos of your stuff themselves if it's good enough. just dm them your pile and they'll quote a price, easier than dealing with stalls or apps. also, if you have any branded stuff, try the "luxury thrift" pages instead, they pay way better for zara or h&m than the general ones

The St. Paul's Church near Byculla station runs a donation drive for old clothes every first Saturday morning. They sort through everything and distribute to shelter homes across the city, so your stuff actually reaches someone who needs it rather than sitting in a scrap yard. Just drop off before 11am or the volunteers pack up for the day.
