Sion East Mysteries?

Problem… So I'm heading to Sion East next week, been hearing whispers about a hidden bakery tucked away in some backstreet alley, supposedly run by an old lady who makes the most incredible vada pav. Problem is, nobody can give me a straight address, just vague directions like "near the old banyan tree". Anyone know this place? Or any equally amazing, not-so-secret food spots in Sion East I should check out?

oh that old lady's place is def real. she sets up near the sion fort circle but not the main wall side, go past the bus stop towards the dharamshala and u'll see a tiny alley with a neem tree. her chutney is what makes it, she grinds it fresh every morning. honestly the line moves fast so dont be put off by the crowd

for something less secret but still solid, try the pav bhaji at guru krupa just off sion road, its been there since i was a kid and they still use the old school butter dollop

Not sure which banyan tree they mean, there's like three in that area. Skip the mystery and hit Anand Stall for their misal pav instead, it's right on the main road and worth the hype.

Yeah, I know the one you're talking about. It's not really a bakery, more like a little cart setup behind the old Sion Fort wall near the circle. Just look for the crowd around 5pm, you can't miss it. For something else, try the bhajiya stall outside the station, crispy and cheap.

I want to sell my old clothes

arrow_drop_up 39 arrow_drop_down

have u tried the chor bazaar route? not for selling to shops but the friday morning flea guys near mumbadevi, some of them buy vintage/retro pieces outright and pay better than the bale walas if ur stuff has any character. got 800 for a bunch of old levi's and band tees there. thing is u gotta go early like 6am and know how to hold ur ground, they smell desperation instantly

one thing nobody mentioned, watch out for the weight vs piece thing. kabadiwalas and bale buyers pay by kilo so heavy stuff like denim and woolens actually earn more than fancy light stuff. i cleared a whole bag of old jeans to a guy in Malad for way better than what my branded shirts fetched. also wash everything before u show it, sounds obvious but dusty clothes get lowballed on sight.

honestly the timing matters more than the platform. end of month is when people get salary and actually buy, so list ur stuff around the 1st or 2nd. also post pics in natural light near a window, not on ur bed with flash, makes a huge difference on OLX and insta thrift pages. i've flipped a lot of my old stuff this way and the same kurta that got ignored at 300 sold for 500 when i relisted it properly.
