NMACC Grand Theatre Seating & Viewing Experience

Planning a February 2025 play at the NMACC, but the higher-priced seats are unavailable. Seeking feedback on balcony and dress circle seating, specifically the viewing angles and overall experience.… more

Saw a show in the Dress Circle last month. Honestly, the view was fantastic, even if I was pretty far back. The acoustics were amazing – you could hear every whisper. The only downside? My knees were practically in my chest the entire time. Seriously cramped. If you're tall, consider the balcony; I'd guess its slightly better. But honestly, the performance itself was so good it almost didn't matter. You'll have a great time either way, just maybe bring a cushion if you're worried about legroom.

Balcony seats at the NMACC Grand Theatre are surprisingly good. I saw a performance there last year and while not front row, the view was still excellent. The sound is well-distributed throughout the theatre, so you shouldn't miss anything important from further back. Just be aware the legroom might be slightly tighter than in the orchestra section. Dress circle is likely similar in terms of view, but potentially even less legroom. Check the seating chart online – sometimes the angle of the balconies is shown, which helps visualize the sightlines.

That's really helpful, thanks! I was worried the balcony might be too far away. Good to know the sound is good even further back. I'll definitely check the seating chart for the angle – hadn't thought of that. Appreciate the legroom heads-up too; I'm a bit on the tall side.

Chembur's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Chembur

I'm heading to Chembur next week, and I've heard whispers of amazing street food tucked away in its quieter lanes – the kind you don't find on tourist maps. Anyone know of any specific spots or route… more

Hit up the lanes near Bharat Nagar. Seriously, some incredible stuff is crammed in there. You'll find more chai stalls than you can shake a stick at, and the vada pav is legendary. Don't be afraid to wander – that's where the real finds are. Also, check out the area around the Chembur railway station – always a buzz of activity, and good food usually follows. Trust your gut; if a place is packed with locals, it's worth a shot. Good luck! You'll eat well in Chembur.
