really useful writeup, the day by day structure is spot on. one thing i'd flag on the food section: Annapurna on Nandalal Road is great but they shut by 3pm sharp, i've walked in at 2:45 and got the last thali more than once. if you're doing a late lunch head to the small shacks behind Muchipara market instead, the maachher jhol there is better anyway and open till 9.
on transport, the auto fare you listed is about right for daytime but after 9pm drivers on GT Road quote double, so budget Rs 100 to 150 for anything late. cycle-rickshaws basically vanish after dark in most colonies.
for the barrage, go on a weekday morning if you can. weekends get packed with picnic groups from Asansol and the promenade walk turns into dodging crowds.
