Shaib Catring is a bit off the main cafe trail, so I'd walk toward the nearest main road rather than expect something right on the doorstep. Filter coffee and a light breakfast are easy to find once you're on a busier stretch. Plan for a ten minute walk.

Ten mins sounds rite but add five if you're crossing during school drop-off, the traffic there is no joke.

the stretch past the second signal has better coffee anyway, the places right at the corner are mostly tea stalls

honestly that corner tea stall thing is rite, they do a decent sulaimani but not much else. past there look for the place with the blue board, opens around 8 and does a proper cappuccino. ask for less sugar or they'll drown it

Worth adding that the filter coffee counter sits past the ticket barriers, so you'll need a valid platform ticket or onward ticket to reach it. Cash and UPI both work, and the queue moves fast before 6am.

The counter past security on that side often runs out of filter coffee by 8, so an early arrival is safer.
