honestly the boat ride at sarsaiya ghat is prob the best thing in the city for the price, but go with cash cause the boatmen dont take digital payments half the time. also if you're at naveen market in the evening the samosa chaat from the stall near the main gate is insane, just be ready for a 10 minute wait cause it's always packed

The guide's solid but I'd swap day 3's museum for the JK Temple in the afternoon instead. It's about 20 minutes from Colonelganj by auto, and the architecture is genuinely striking with those marble domes and gardens. Entry is free, and the evening light hits the white stone really well around 4 PM. Also, for the Tunday Kababi recommendation, get there by 12:30 PM because the galouti kebabs sell out fast on weekends, and the queue gets long by 1 PM. The roomali roti there is paper thin and worth the wait.
honestly the guide nails most of it but theres one thing i'd add for day 1 - skip the chappan bhog corner for lunch and go to brijwasi sweets instead, its right off mall road near the phool bagh crossing, their chole bhature is way better than anything at chappan bhog and costs like 80 bucks. also for day 2 the zoo is nice but if you're into birds the kanpur botanical garden is right next to it and has a decent collection, entry is only 20 rupees and its way less crowded. one more thing about the aarti at parmat ghat - try to get there by 5 pm even in winter cause the priests start the chanting early and the best spots fill up fast, theres a small chai stall near the steps that makes good adrak wali chai while you wait.
