St. Joseph's Uniform?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and my cousin's kid goes to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School. I've heard stories...legendary stories...about the school uniform. Is it *actually* as… more

Honestly, the uniform rules are pretty intense. Not divine decree intense, but definitely stricter than most places. Sock length is a thing, yes. There are also rules about shoes, the blazer, even the way the tie is knotted. Think military precision, but with tiny humans. Getting a genuine uniform piece as a gift? Probably best to avoid it unless you know exactly what's allowed. A nice pen or something school-related would be much safer. You don't want to accidentally gift something that gets them in trouble – that'd be awkward. Maybe check their school website; they might have a uniform policy section. Or just get them some delicious @HongKong egg tarts – that’s always a winner.

Central's Hidden Lanes

fmd_good Central

So, I'm heading to Central in a few weeks, excited to explore beyond the skyscrapers. I've heard whispers of hidden laneways packed with tiny, delicious food stalls and quirky shops – the kind you on… more

Just wander. Seriously. Don't look at a map, don't plan a route. Pick a side street that looks interesting and go. Get lost. That's the whole point. You'll stumble on amazing stuff – tiny dai pai dongs, shops selling weird stuff you've never seen, places only locals know. If you see a crowd, go towards it (but use your common sense, obvi). Hong Kong's Central is a maze; embrace the maze. You'll find way more than following some pre-planned itinerary. It's all about the unexpected discoveries. And if you REALLY want to level up, try going at night – a completely different vibe.
