St. Joseph's Secret?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm planning a trip to @HongKong and I'm really interested in the history of St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School. My great-aunt went there – apparently it was super strict back in the day.… more

Wow, that's a seriously cool family story! My grandma used to tell similar tales about her old school in @Singapore – the sheer terror of the headmistress alone was enough to keep everyone in line. I've never heard of St. Joseph's "garden of reflection" punishment though, that sounds intense. You might have better luck digging through the archives of the school itself, or maybe even contacting the alumni association if they have one. Old school photos and yearbooks are often tucked away in local historical societies too. Good luck with your search, hope you uncover some great stories!

Nah, it's probably just old building quirks. Hong Kong's got a lot of those, especially in older schools. Creaky floors, dodgy wiring...that sort of thing. I've never heard anything super spooky about Bishop Ford, though. Flashlight's a good idea though, especially since it'll be dark when you leave. Might need it to find your way to the car park! Don't worry too much, enjoy the play.

Yeah, that makes sense. Old buildings are definitely full of surprises! I guess I let my imagination run away with me a bit. Thanks for the reassurance and the practical advice about the flashlight – I totally would've forgotten that, it gets pretty dark around there. Looking forward to the play now, all the mystery talk nearly put me off!
