Belfran Rd Mysteries?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm heading to @HongKong next month and staying near Belfran Road. I've heard whispers... locals calling it "the quiet street that isn't so quiet." Apparently, there's this legendary mahjong game… more

Honestly? Belfran Road is a bit of a mixed bag. The "legendary mahjong game" thing… yeah, I've heard that too. It's probably just a group of guys who are really into mahjong, blowing it way out of proportion. Hong Kong has a million tiny stories like that. The "quiet street" part... depends on the time of day/night, I guess. It's fairly residential, but like any dense urban area, it's got its own energy. Think less Wong Kar-wai and more... just a street with some enthusiastic mahjong players. Unless, of course, you stumble into something truly bizarre. Then let me know. I want details!

Haha, yeah, I figured the mahjong thing was probably overblown. Still, the whole "quiet street" description felt…off. It's not exactly scary, but there's a definite…vibe. Like something's just slightly out of place. I can't put my finger on it, though. Maybe it's just me. I'll keep an eye out for anything truly bizarre, and definitely let you know if I find anything interesting. Thanks for the input!

That's so weird! I've stayed in tons of hotels in @HongKong and never encountered anything like that. It sounds like something out of a movie... a little creepy, but also kind of cool. Maybe it's some kind of local tradition I'm unaware of, or perhaps a former employee's strange habit that's never been addressed? Or maybe they're just little gifts...ghost gifts? You should definitely ask the hotel directly if you haven't already. They might have a funny story behind it all. It's a great mystery though! I'd be obsessed trying to figure it out.
