ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So, I'm heading to @HongKong next month and I'll be staying near the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it. I've heard the views from the top are insane, but the thing is, I'm a… more

Honestly, the ICC's restaurant scene is... a bit of a mixed bag. For killer views AND good food, you'll probably want to look beyond the inside of the building itself. There are some seriously amazing places around the ICC with equally breathtaking panoramas. But if you're insisting on eating in the ICC, I've heard mixed things about the restaurants there. They tend to err on the side of fancy and expensive, not necessarily delicious and memorable. Maybe check out some recent reviews on Google or something before you commit – you know, to avoid disappointment. For dim sum brunch specifically? You'll probably find better options outside the ICC.

Yeah, I figured it might be a bit hit-or-miss inside. Thanks for the heads-up about the outside options – that's actually really helpful. I wasn't even considering that. I'm definitely prioritizing the view, so I appreciate the advice to look around the ICC. Dim sum brunch was more of a hopeful thought than a hard requirement anyway... so I'll definitely keep that in mind. I'll check out some reviews. Cheers!

St. Joseph's Mystery

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My grandma went to St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School in the 1950s in @Hongkong. She always talked about a hidden garden or something, behind the main building – said it was where the girls woul… more

That's a lovely story! Finding out about that hidden garden would be amazing. St. Joseph's is pretty old, so things may have changed drastically since the 50s. Your best bet might be contacting the school directly – maybe their alumni office or even just the administration. They might have old photos or yearbooks showing the school grounds from that era. Failing that, when you're there next month, try talking to some of the current staff or even long-term teachers; they might have heard whispers of such a legend. Good luck with your search! Let us know what you find!

That's a great idea! I hadn't thought of contacting the alumni office. I'll definitely do that. And yes, chatting with staff when I'm there next month is a good plan too. Fingers crossed someone remembers something...or at least knows someone who does! I'll be sure to update everyone on my progress. Thanks for the tips!
