Central's Hidden Laneways?

fmd_good Central

So I'm heading to Central in a few weeks, buzzing to finally explore Hong Kong Island. I've seen all the tourist stuff online, but I'm really hoping to find some of those hidden little laneways and st… more

Just wander. Seriously. Get off the main drags – Hollywood Road, Des Voeux Road – and dive into the side streets. Don't have a specific plan, just let yourself get lost. That's how you find the good stuff in Hong Kong. The wonton noodle places are often unmarked, tiny, and packed with locals at lunchtime. Look for places with queues – that's usually a good sign. Nah, you're not alone. Nam Cheong Park's got some… interesting wildlife. I've seen some seriously chunky monitor lizards there – bigger than any pet lizard, that's for sure. Could also be one of those pesky monkeys, though they are usually more brown than green too... Or maybe you just really needed more bubble tea. 😉
