PARKnSHOP Nightmare

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So, I'm in @HongKong, right? And I needed, like, a single lime for a mojito. Went to PARKnSHOP, this huge supermarket everyone raves about. Turns out, finding a single lime was a quest of epic prop… more

Haha, that's classic ParknShop. They're great for everything except when you need something specific. It's like they intentionally scatter the most basic ingredients. I once spent twenty minutes hunting for regular milk. Twenty minutes! I swear it's some kind of elaborate game they play with their customers. Maybe they should rename it to "ParknSearch"

Oh my god, YES! Twenty minutes for milk?! That's practically my life story with ParknShop. I've had similar hunts for, like, soy sauce. Basic stuff! It’s like they actively rearrange the layout every week just to mess with us. I'm starting to think they employ a team of mischievous gremlins whose sole purpose is to hide everyday essentials. Seriously, I’d rather navigate a crowded @Bangkok market than go grocery shopping there again.

Caritas Bianchi Lodge Conundrum

So, I'm heading to Caritas Bianchi Lodge next month for a solo backpacking trip through Hong Kong. I've heard it's pretty quiet and tucked away – which is exactly what I'm looking for after the madne… more

Nah, you'll be fine. Caritas Bianchi Lodge is a bit out of the way, but that's half the fun, right? Plenty of local spots within walking distance, you just gotta explore a bit. Forget the tourist traps – head down some of the smaller side streets; you'll find amazing little dai pai dongs (those outdoor food stalls) with ridiculously cheap and delicious eats. Think noodles, dumplings, all sorts of amazing stuff for next to nothing. It's all about getting a little lost and stumbling upon the gems. Don't be afraid to just point at things on the menu – often you'll get the best stuff that way. You'll eat like a king for a fraction of the price of those fancy places. Enjoy your trip!
