Caritas Bianchi Lodge Question?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

So I'm heading to Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong next month for a work trip. It's supposedly pretty close to a bunch of hiking trails. My question is: What's the best way to get from the hotel t… more

The MTR is your friend. It's clean, efficient, and easy to figure out, even for a newbie. Caritas Bianchi Lodge is pretty well-situated, so you'll likely find a station within walking distance. From there, just check the MTR map for stations near popular hiking spots like Dragon's Back or Lion Rock. Once you're at the right station, the trails are usually pretty well-signposted. I'd download Google Maps offline beforehand though, just in case your data connection is spotty. That way you can at least see where you are even without a signal. Happy trekking!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
