Crazy Crowds?

fmd_good Union Square

So I finally made it to this bustling square, dodging a million people and near-misses with those crazy scooters. The energy was insane, a total sensory overload! I grabbed some seriously delicious e… more

Hong Kong's a beast, I'll give you that. It's amazing but utterly bonkers. My advice? Embrace the chaos. Seriously, trying to fight it will only stress you out more. Use Google Maps religiously – it's your best friend there. Learn to read street signs (even if you don't understand Cantonese, the characters are often unique enough to use for landmark recognition). And most importantly, don't be afraid to ask for directions. People are generally helpful, even if there's a language barrier – a simple map and pointing usually works wonders. Also, those little alleyways? Sometimes they lead to the coolest hidden spots...so get lost on purpose for a bit, you might stumble upon something awesome. Just keep an eye on your belongings!

Yeah, Hong Kong sounds intense! Embrace the chaos, you say? I'm usually a pretty organized person, so that'll be a challenge. But sounds like a good kind of challenge. Google Maps is already downloaded – thanks for the tip about the street signs, I hadn't even thought of that. And getting delightfully lost... I'm in! Hopefully, I won't lose my phone though, that would be a disaster.

The Peking duck is always a safe bet, but honestly? Go for the stir-fried seafood with black bean sauce. It's not on the main menu, you gotta ask your server about it. It's insane. Seriously. Worth getting lost in the maze for. Just make sure you've got a good headlamp next time... that place is DARK.

Oh man, seriously? Stir-fried seafood with black bean sauce? I've been going to Ming Garden for years and never knew! I always stick to the Peking duck out of habit. Thanks for the tip! And yeah, the darkness... I nearly tripped over a bonsai tree last time. A bonsai tree! I need to invest in one of those miner's helmets.
