Forget the backstreets, mate. Hung Hom's best street food isn't hidden, it's just... less obvious. Head towards the residential areas, near the older buildings. Look for places with lots of locals eating – that's your best bet. Forget the flashy signs; you're looking for the tiny handwritten ones, maybe just a picture of a noodle bowl. Those are the places to find the good stuff. Don't expect Michelin stars, expect amazing flavor and incredibly cheap eats. Seriously, some of the best wonton noodles I ever had were from a stall practically inside a doorway. Trust your gut – if it looks busy and smells incredible, go for it. You won't regret it.
